Camelina sustainable - CASUS
Casusoil Projekt took over the lead and coordinated the necessary work steps. In 2014, other important steps followed, such as the establishment of the “OOO Camelina Group EU” Management Company in Saint Petersburg and a 3rd Camelina specialist conference in Nizhni Novgorod.
Due to the economic sanctions that were imposed on the Russian Federation in 2014, the entire project came to a standstill. In particular, the large cooperation partners took a wait-and-see attitude towards the major project "Camelina cultivation in the Russian Federation".
Casus Bio Oil Trading and Casus Food and Seed
The experience of the years 2014 - 2016 has shown that a broader product portfolio is more crisis-proof, especially since Russian agriculture has also been greatly expanded during this period and has become more efficient overall. This led to the decision to found a new company in August 2017 as a trading company for oil seeds and vegetable oils as well as more far-reaching agricultural products.
The main focus is now on a broad range of products, with Camelina and Krambe oil still being one of the main focuses of trading activities. For this purpose, a business conference was held in Novosibirsk in 2019 in cooperation with the Russian Export Center and our Siberian partner "Export Siberia".
2012 was the year in which we discovered the camelina plant (camelina sativa (L.) Crantz). The amazing properties
of the vegetable oil and its wide range of applications led to the establishment of Camelina Sativa GmbH.
In the first few years we therefore worked more intensively with Camelina, with a particular focus on biofuels and biokerosene.
In spring 2012 the First Camelina symposium in the Helmholtz Center Leipzig, with the participation of Russian Camelina specialists and cultivation partners as well as Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Nesteoil.
The following year, the 2nd Camelina conference took place in Penza, Volga Region, the results of which were the founding of
the SPR - Association of Camelina Producers of the Russian Federation and the beginning of a deeper cooperation with Deutsche Lufthansa AG. The aim of these measures was to expand the acreage in the leading region for Camelina cultivation in Russia.

The organization of symposiums and conferences on the main topic "Cultivation of Camelina" and "Processing and Marketing
of Camleina Oil" served to increase the popularity of this renewable raw material in connection with increasing biodiversity in the agricultural sector.
